A normal boring day.

Anya sighed and nodded, "your not a very good lier either." she mumbled to herself

The Doctor grinned and walked into the tunnel, leading the way.

The Tunnel soon opened to a grand room, rather plain but simple. The red lighting giving it eery shadows acros walls and the floor. The whole room looked stone and a single strip of carpet ran up to a throne looking chair at the far end of the room. On it sat the old man, dressed in long robes and his eyes as black as coal. The Doctor walked forward untill he was infront of the old man, signalling for Anya to stay behind him.

Anya stayed farther back than the Doctor and decided to keep her mouth shut.

The Doctor stood infront of the old man, his back still sticky with blood as he spoke to the old man in a strange language. At one point the old man became agitated and looked like he threatened the Doctor who mearly shrugged and carried on. The conver sation lasted about five minutes before the old man raised his hand. The Doctor flinched then backed off to stand by Anya.

"Not good..." he was saying quietly.

"what's going on? what's not good??" she whispered keeping her eyes on the old man

The Doctor winced and moved his head closer to her to continue talking in a whisper.

"He's an alien alright, just not the exact one i was looking for. The problem is, he's not allowed on earth. I've asked him to leave and he's refused. I've threatened him and now he's sentenced us to death by 'the weapon' wich i have no idea what it is." he stopped and winced louder and put a hand on his head, in obvious pain.

Anya glared at him slightly, "nice negotiating. How are you planning on getting us out of this wiseguy?" she whispered back

The Doctor looked at her and grinned.

"It's my speciality" he massaged his forehead as the floor began to move downwards steadily.

"Anya, whatever happens, do exactly what i tell you. If anything happens to me and this weapon isnt destroyed, you leave me and run got it?" they were decending into a dark doungen looking room with a gate on the far end of the room. skeletons were lined up against the wall, a sword in one hand of the skeleton, others wearing hats possibly.

Anya looked at him in disbelief, "can't make any promises. if i can help i will." she told him.

The Doctor opened his mouth to reply but gasped and put a hand to his head.

"Whatever it is, it has a strong psycic link with the world." he groaned and stuck his hand in his pocket, pulling out a bracelet. "Put this on."

"ok." she said taking the bracelet and putting it on

He pulled her wrist to him and pointed to a red jewel on it.

"Now when i say, Press this and close your eyes. Very important to close your eyes."

"um...alright, but why?" Anya questioned looking at the jewel

The Doctor groaned and staggered slightly as the floor stopped and the wooden door began to move upward.

"Just trust me."

"ok ok." she replied still curious about it.

The Doctor took out his sonic screwdriver and winced again as the door slid up and stopped, a low growling coming from inside. Blood red eyes were staring at him from inside the seperate room.

"Anya, see that ledge over there? Go get onto it. Slowly."

Anya saw the eyes and gasped but slowly did as she was told to do and getting on the ledge.

The Doctor pressed the sonic on, the green light buzzing into life and suddenly the Doctor was on his back, a black creature on the opposite side of the room to him but blood on it's head. The Doctor struggled up and suddenly cried out in agony, collapsing to the floor and holding his head.

"Anya, are you alright up there?" he was struggling up and he was incredibly dizzy, he was swaying on the spot.

"yeah! im fine! i don't think you are though!" she replied

The Doctor groaned as the black creature moved again, knocking him to the floor and it was stood behind him as he tried to get up.

"I've been through worse..." he said as his head pounded. As he had fallen, the Sonic had slipped from his grasp, falling to the floor underneigth Anya, the black creature having knocked it as if moved quickly.

"If it keeps moving like this for a while... maybe it'll get... tired..." he struggled up and had got to his knees before the creature knocked him down again.

Anya bent and picked up the sonic, "Hey Doctor here's your little wandy thing." she said throwing it to him hopeing he would catch it.

The sonic clattered to the floor beside the Doctor and the black creature turned to her, noticing her finally. It moved slowly but swiftly toward her, the Doctor layed on the floor gasping and wincing in pain.

"Anya... the button... get ready." he staggered up and grabbed the sonic, changed the setting and quietly moved toward the creature.

"alright!" Anya said holding the wrist that had the bracelet ready to press it when he told her too.

The Doctor slashed at the creature as it pounced, the Doctor missing completly.

"Now!"

Anya closed her eyes and pressed the button as she was told.
