A normal boring day.

Anya was lying under a large tree out in a field near her house. she was terribly bored she had no friends for her family lived in the middle of nowhere. "why can't anything fun happen in this dump?" she asked herself softly.

The Doctor was running up a hill... he had received a strange signal i the TARDIS and he was interested. So when the signal lead straight to a girl under a tree... he was intreguied.

"Uhh... Hello?" he said, not knowing if she was awake or even alive.

Anya opened her eyes when she heard the voice of a male.

"hello." she said examining this odd man.

The Doctor grinned, glad she was both awake and not dead.

"hello, my name is the Doctor. Im currently looking for aliens... Seen any?"

Anya sat up very confused, "well i'm Anya, and no i don't think so.....as far as i know." she told him, "so 'the Doctor' that's a very...interesting name." she said

the Doctor grinned at her.

"So is Anya in some contries... Speaking of countries, which one is this?" he said while shaking his sonic Screwdriver.

"well this is Scotland.....how did you get here but not know that?" she asked him then saw the sonic screwdriver, "and what is that??"

The Doctor frowned.

"Maybe it's broken again... it said wales... hhmmm..." he appeared to not of heard Anya's question and walked away from her, the tool flashing ever so often as he neared the tree.

Anya just sat watching him very confused, "what are you doing you strange man?" she asked him.

The Doctor looked round to her and walked toward her, a puzzled expression on his face.

"Something is here. A strange alien has been here and left something behind. Something that could possibly whipe out the human existance." he looked closely at her.

"Now tell me, have you seen ANYTHING out of the ordinary around here? like a new building that was finnished quickly or a new person that no-one seems to like or go near. Or even just a place."

"the only people around here is my family and our this old man who lives about 5 miles away i think." she told him, wondering why he was asking her such odd questions

the Doctor frowned at her.

"How old is this 'old man'?"

she though for a little while, "i don't really know, he looks around 70 i don't make it a habit to talk to him." she told, "but why o you need to know?" she asked

The Doctor turned to her and pointed the sonic at her.

"How long ago did you speak to him?"

"um about a month ago...maybe two?" she told staring at the sonic very confused

The Doctor grinned at her.

"Close enough." he looked at her. "Do you know where he lives?"

Anya nodded, "i could show you the way if you have business with him."

The Doctor grins

"Then Lead on Macduff" He points to the top of the hill and walks toward it.

"um...ok...but it's that way...." she said pointing the opposite direction of the way he was walking

The Doctor looked at her and grinned, walking the other way and stopping at the bottem of the hill for her.

She walked to him shaking her head. "follow me." she said walking to the old mans house.

The Doctor knocked on the front door gently and stood back, observing the area.

"Anya, do you ever get the feeling here that something isnt right?"

"all the time. why do you think i never come here. just seeing the house gives me the creeps." she said glaring at the house.

the Doctor grinned.

"And you have every right to get the creeps here." He pointed to a hole in the floor where a white mouse came out and looked at them. "That mouse isnt a mouse... well... it looks like a mouse but it isnt a mouse..." he looked at her.

"Making sence?"

she gave him another confused look, "not really, but if it's not a mouse then what is it?" Anya asked him
